Steamboat Hot Air Balloon Rodeo - Steamboat Engagement Session - Emily and Jeff

Alright, I'll keep this one short because the pictures are awesome.

Basically: Hot Air Balloon Rodeo + Woody and I's 4 year anniversary + a little bit of work that didn't seem like work with two very laid back clients + Steamboat Springs = a amazing weekend.

We also got a shot of Emily and Jeff standing inside a hot air balloon as inflated, which made the 3 am drive completely worth it.

Can't WAIT for their wedding in March.

Update 2/21/20: Looking back on these images, I have become really nostalgic on far I have come as a wedding, engagement, and elopement photographer. I wrote an article on why I love sunrises so much, and I believe that this right here is the reason why! Emily and Jeff’s sunrise engagement shoot during the Steamboat Hot Air Balloon Rodeo sparked my love for early mornings. The peace and stillness of the morning filled my cup up in ways other things couldn’t. It also sparked another love in me, and that’s my love of Hot Air Balloon Rodeos and Fiestas! I absolutely love photographing couples amongst the beautiful colors of these balloons. There is something about how they look when hundreds of them are in the sky that, coupled with sunrise, is automatic Zen for me (which is funny because having photographed several of these, I know that the action on the ground is quite chaotic! Getting these into the air is no joke!).

If you’d like me to photograph your engagement session among the mountains and balloons, please reach out! I’d love to be a part of your day!

On My Speakers: Anything Netflix will stream.  I'm currently on a Mad Men kick :)
